Project Vision
Funding has been secured to construct a multi-level car park over five levels in the place of the existing car park located between of Kay and Grey Streets in the Traralgon Town Centre. The project will provide around an additional 365 spaces within the Traralgon Town Centre close to key amenities including the Creative Precinct, retail and hospitality businesses, Grey Street Primary School, and the Council Library and Service Centre. An additional 110 spaces are currently under construction at the Seymour/Hotham Street multi-level car park.
The project will bring a wide range of benefits to the Traralgon Town Centre, including improved accessibility to businesses and places of interest. The new car park will be located at the existing Council owned land between Kay Street and Grey Street, as shown in the map below.
Community Consultation
Latrobe City Council is committed to ongoing engagement with community members, local businesses, and other stakeholders as part of the development process.
During March 2024, Council will be seeking feedback from community members and stakeholders to inform elements of the project design and ensure businesses can continue to operate. Council will ensure that all relevant queries, concerns, and thoughts are considered, and where feasible, applied to shape a suitable, practical and functional car park for community use.
